St. Stan's Students Study Minerals

The Saint Stanislaus School Academy of Math & Science students in grade six recently learned how to classify minerals. They learned that minerals are inorganic substances that occur naturally through a geological process as opposed to rocks that are a naturally occurring aggregate of minerals.   The students separated the minerals into groups based on color, streak, hardness, luster and other properties. They then we attempted to classify the minerals in each group.
