Middlefield's Planning and Zoning Commission will continue a public hearing tonight on the town of Middlefield's request to divide a 20-acre parcel of the Powder Ridge property.
The hearing begins at 7 p.m. at the .
The piece of land, which runs along the eastern edge of the property, would be split off from the remaining 226 acres before the town sells the defunct ski area to Sean Hayes of Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park for $700,000.
While the , First Selectman Jon Brayshaw has said the 20-acre parcel — valued at $300,000 — would either be kept as town owned open space or sold at a later date.
Although the PZC must decide only whether the town's request meets the town's zoning requlations, to begin with.
