Patch's Poll: Do You Text or Answer Emails While Driving?

AT&T launches a new awareness campaign to stop drivers from using their phones while on the road.

About 100,000 crashes occur every year as a result of someone texting while driving, AT&T President Rodney Smith said in a press release.

To spread awareness about this, the phone company has created a new no-texting-and-drivng pledge, "It Can Wait," which it encourages all drivers to sign. It can be viewed here.

Smith said AT&T wants texting and driving to be as unacceptable as drinking and driving is.

“I hear from far too many people whose lives have been forever changed by a texting-while-driving accident, and together, we want to spread the word about how deadly a single text can be,” he said.

Now is the point where we ask you to be honest: do you text or email while driving? Take our poll and share your thoughts in the comments.
