House Fire on Edwards Road-April 23, 2014

On Wednesday evening, April 23rd, fire and rescue departments from Durham, Middlefield, Killingworth and Middletown responded, to what I now know was a house fire, on Edwards Road in Durham. I knew something was terribly wrong when the continuous sound of sirens and trucks flew north on Route 17. I looked to my local Patch to see what was happening and looked again the following day to see if anything was reported. I didn't see anything. If I missed it, which I don't think I did, I apologize. I don't like to criticize, but this was important news. A family lost their pets and their home. Isn't Patch supposed to report this type of information? Is there a way the community can help these folks? Come on Patch, get back to where you used to be.
