Deadline For Political Letters to the Editor

Durham Patch has a 5 p.m. Sunday deadline for all election-related letters to the editor.

As Election Day approaches on Nov. 6, Durham Patch is enacting a deadline for all letters to the editor on political and election matters.

We will accept letters until 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 —no exceptions. All letters should be emailed to michael.hayes@patch.com. Political letters to the editor will be published no later than noon on Monday, Nov. 5. We will begin publishing political letters to the editor again on Wednesday, Nov. 7.

Letters to the editor on all other matters are welcome.

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
