Middlefield resident loses battle with cancer.

 

Middlefield resident Tamara “Tammy” (Colegrove) McDowell passed away on Monday, June 25 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 38.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Steve McDowell, Jr., and two sons,  Andrew “AJ” and Jacob. 

She was born in Middletown, the daughter of Geoffrey and Janet Colegrove of Durham. A Coginchaug High School graduate, Tammy was a physical education teacher in Guilford.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 9:15 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Colman Church, Hubbard St., Middlefield. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home.
