I'm packing my suitcase for Tuesday's departure to Oaxaca. Only light clothes are needed--the temperature has reached the 90's the past few days, cooling off to the high 60's at night. At least the humidity is low and there are lots of spots to sit down, cool off, and people watch.
Oaxaca is my "home away from home" and I look forward to seeing friends that I've made during my 20 some years of frequent travel there. My "oldest" friend is Manuel, a waiter I met in 1970 on my first trip to Mexico. He still waits tables at the same outdoor cafe where he served my friend and me so many years ago--and he's just as efficient!
I'll be sending a few comments and photos on a daily basis so you can share some of the sights and tastes of Oaxaca and hopefully see why I love being there so much.
