1830's day through the lens

Children are beautiful especially when their children of the 1830's. Here is a series of photos of wonderful kids perfectly attired for 1830's day. They are taking part in a living history project. Were looking for senior citizens from the area that are willing to have portraits taken and be interviewed by the students in these photos. The camera was invented and my world would never be the same. When my son’s class would celebrate 1830’s day, in the back of my mind I had a vision of children classically dressed with simple props. Celebrating an invention that came to life in the 1830’s seems like a perfect marriage of art and history for the children to be part of.   Continue on...
