Save Money - Plan!

See how a decorating plan can save you money! j

One of the most important things you can do in decorating is to create a plan.  This is the first step towards great design.  If you watch any decorating shows they always show the designer creating and presenting a plan.  There is a good reason for this.  It is the foundation for your room!!  You wouldn't expect a builder to come in and dig a foundation without a plan - so why are you designing without it?

I have seen many people who need a sofa, purchase one, and then when they go to decorate the rest of the room get "stuck".  If you plan you eliminate these costly decorating mistakes!   Make use of the new tools available like Pinterest. You can find lots of great ideas for your design. Create a board and start pinning!  Once you have your plan in place it is easier to attach pricing to it. Then work on your plan according to your budget.

Like all planning, this can get tedious and hard - especially if you get all excited for the overall design but can only do one aspect of it. It might seem like a "chore" at first but the rewards of this extra time are well worth it.  If you need help feel free to call or email - I even do consultations via computer! Have fun and let me know how your plans are going! j

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
