Home Sweet Home Office

Is your home office a nightmare? Check out my latest blog! j

I thought today that we could look at the home office.  With so many people working from home this room or space is more and more essential! This picture shows some easy and inexpensive ways to make your office functional with good design.  The shelves can be built in if you are handy.  If not think of purchasing some inexpensive shelving so you can organize your books, paperwork, etc.

Instead of buying filing cabinets you can use baskets - you might even try cardboard boxes and paint the end that faces out a fun color!  These look nicer than those ugly metal cabinets and function well.  If you look at the notebooks in the picture you will see another great and inexpensive organizational tool.  Do you seem to be overwhelmed with paperwork, catalogs, etc?  These binders are just the product you need to keep all that "stuff" in.  You do need to take some time initially to set this up but once you have accomplished that task it is easy to keep up with. Don't forget that some of the shelves need some personal (non work!) items to make it more enjoyable to be in.

Have fun! Let me know if there are any ideas you have tried and liked! j

The traffic signal is a DOT project. I called today and spoke to the project manager who could notRead More give me an exact date of the start of construction and said he'd get back to me. That was a over four hours ago. The project, as indicated at several meetings, is scheduled for sometime this summer. The funding was put in last year and will carry over because the project is not yet ongoing.

Lisa, I am sorry to say this doesn't look like the kitty that has been around our house. Your MaddieRead More has more white on the chest. Do you have a picture of her from the front? I think her feet have more white, too. I'm sorry. I will keep my eyes open though. If you have another picture, I can post it at the store.
