Don't you just love window seats? To me there is nothing better than doing just what this young girl is doing - curling up with a great book! If you are lucky enough to have a window seat - is it warm and inviting - a special place where you can "get away"? If you don't have one - is there a place you can create one?
I love a comfortable cushion on the wood - just wood is not inviting! The extra pillows are a great way to add color and bring comfort. In this picture they have added window treatment. In this instance, I think the window treatment takes away from the beauty of the window. I have used window treatments in areas like this but more for uninteresting windows and I generally recommend a valance type treatment as panels tend to get in the way.
