Color 101

Afraid to use color? Check out my latest blog! j

Last time we looked at choosing paint colors.  I found this wonderful picture (New England Home Magazine) and thought a more in depth focus on color would be fun to learn!

Are you afraid of deep, dark colors? Look at these deep chocolate brown walls!! Why does this work? First - other colors in the room have been kept light. The sofa and window treatments draw your eye. Also, note the interesting art! Let's not forget the wonderful lighting you see as well. The lights above the artwork add drama and focus to the pieces as well as brighten up the room.

Color plays such an important part of decorating! Are you ready to go bold? j

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
