Many parents are in a situation where they have to put two kids in one room. When I think about it, just using the words - bunk beds - sounds old and frumpy. So how do you make it new, fun, and inviting? This picture gives you some ideas that give the words "bunk beds" new meaning!
Doesn't this room look great? I love the use of colors here - the checkered rug really stands out! The use of the bunk bed in the middle of the room is interesting as well. In some rooms, you can use it so that you have a private space on either side for each child. The ladder coming off the foot of the bed is a terrific idea as well. Note also the curtains on the lower bunk. This can be a lot of fun - think of all the imaginative things a kid could create - maybe his/her bed can become a spaceship or a castle!
