Spaghetti Dinner with a DJ for Music and other fun activities
Spaghetti Dinner -- Saturday, April 26, 2014 -- Church of the Holy Advent
Honduras Children's Project is holding a Spaghetti Dinner with a DJ for music and other fun activities on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Church of the Holy Advent on 81 East Main Street in Clinton, CT. This dinner is to raise funds to benefit the children of Copprome Orphanage in El Progreso, Honduras. The primary goal of Honduras Children's Project (HCP) is to improve the education of the children at the orphanage. This is being achieved by providing them with an educational after-school program and in supporting the public elementary school these children attend. The after-school program is run by a staff of three -- one teacher and two teaching assistants -- whose salaries are made possible by HCP. Also funded is the tuition of a Copprome graduate now attending university who will return to join the ranks of these instructors. In addition, HCP has purchased numerous school supplies, uniforms, lap-top computers, desks, and printers for after-school studies and the local elementary school. For those of you who attend the Durham Fair this is the same organization that brought chocolate-covered bacon to Connecticut. It will also be available at the spaghetti dinner along with colorful Honduran handcrafts. For further information visit www.honduraschildrensproject.org.The Dinner will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 between 5:30-7:30 p.m., with tickets costing $10.00.
