One Book, One Community Potluck Supper and Movie Night

 ,   Add to calendar
 Durham-Middlefield  See map

What better symbol of small town life than a potluck supper? Bring a favorite appetizer or casserole to share with your neighbors and then watch part one of the award winning HBO adaptation of Richard Russo's Empire Falls, starring Paul Newman. The following week we'll watch the conclusion and sample Middlefield and Durham's best desserts. Everyone is asked to bring copies of their recipes because we will be publishing "Durham/Middlefield Eats," a collection of recipes. To register, please call the Durham Library at 860 349-9544 or the Levi E. Coe Library at 860 349-3857.

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
