Artisan Holiday Fair

Two of Meriden’s best kept secrets join forces in the spirit of holiday giving.  Local crafters from the Unitarian Universalist Church in Meriden will be selling their wares along with the professional artisans who regularly show at Gallery 53.  For two days only, Gobs of gifts will be yours for the choosing – Friday, November 16 and Saturday, November 17.

A wine a cheese reception will kick off the celebratory event from 4PM to 7PM on Friday evening.  Sale hours on Saturday are from 9:00AM to 4:00PM.

If you are wondering what to buy for that special person, stumped by that relative who seems to have everything or just looking for something practical yet beautifully handmade, you won’t be disappointed.  Gift items and fine art will include – paintings, knitting, jewelry, photography, felt artifacts, scarves and mittens!

Gather your friends and neighbors and head on over to Gallery 53, located at 53 Colony Street in Meriden, CT.  November 16, 4-7PM.  November 17, 9AM – 4PM.  For more information, contact Mrs. Figueroa at  203-640-4108.

The traffic signal is a DOT project. I called today and spoke to the project manager who could notRead More give me an exact date of the start of construction and said he'd get back to me. That was a over four hours ago. The project, as indicated at several meetings, is scheduled for sometime this summer. The funding was put in last year and will carry over because the project is not yet ongoing.

Lisa, I am sorry to say this doesn't look like the kitty that has been around our house. Your MaddieRead More has more white on the chest. Do you have a picture of her from the front? I think her feet have more white, too. I'm sorry. I will keep my eyes open though. If you have another picture, I can post it at the store.
