Durham and Middlefield residents woke up this morning to the aftermath of a snowstorm of historic proportions.
While total snowfall amounts are unofficial, the blizzard dumped upwards of three feet of snow across central Connecticut and snow drifts are being measured at five feet or deeper.
Roads remain closed until further notice as highway crews work to clear them of snow.
The good news, for now, is that both towns were spared of any major power outages, according to Connecticut Light and Power.
The bad news is temperatures are expected to plummet tonight, to a low of 6 degrees, and rain is forecast for Monday.
What was your reaction when you woke up this morning? Have you ever experienced a snowstorm like this? What's your plan for the rest of the day?
