On Monday, the Town of Durham published a list of private contractors on its a Blizzard Information page on the town's website

"The town contracted for additional personnel and equipment before the storm, but even with extra manpower and heavy equipment, it will take days to completely clean our roads to full capacity," First Selectman Laura Francis said.

"I ask residents to please be patient. Also, it is imperative that residents and their private contractors refrain from pushing snow into the road.  It is becoming more and more problematic and dangerous."

Public Works Director Kurt Bober said his department continues to work to make roads safe.

Several town officials spent Monday answering calls to the town's storm hotline.
