Update: Power Restored in Middlefield, Middletown After Storm Knocks Out Electricity

Jackson Hill Road in Middlefield was closed shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday when a tree was knocked over the road and onto electrical wires.

 

Power has been restored to hundreds of Connecticut Light and Power customers in Middlefield and Middletown after a quick moving storm knocked down a tree along Jackson Hill Road in Middlefield.

The damage disrupted service to more than 460 customers and police closed Jackson Hill Road between School Street and Oxford Drive.

The tree was knocked down when a storm passed through the area around 9:15.

A Patch reader also reported downed trees in the area of Spring St. and Ross Rd. in Middlefield.
