Girl Scouts of Connecticut is hosting a 'Fill the Truck' event on Saturday, Mar. 19 from 10 a.m . to 2 p.m. at the Transfer Station on Recycle Way (Rte. 81) in Killingworth.

Girl Scout volunteers and girl members will be filling a truck with Girl Scout Cookies for Cookies for Heroes, a service project that allows community members to purchase cookies and have them sent to military personnel around the world.

The public will also be able to write notes to the service women and men around the world who will receive cookies through the Cookies for Heroes program.
