Sand Bags Available in Durham

From the desk First Selectwoman Laura Francis

In anticipation of the rain storm, the Public Works Department prepared sand bags that residents can pick up at the public works garage on Cream Pot Road.  Please take only what you think you will need.

Also, if you need the assistance of the Durham Volunteer Fire Company for a flooded basement, please call Valley Shore at the 800-618-6711 or 911 if is an emergency.

We are collecting data for a potential FEMA claim for any damage caused by the March 7th storm or perhaps what will occur Thursday into Friday.  If you have any uninsured damage to your home or business, please see Pre-Assessment Individual Assistance and Business Form and send that information to Jen Keogh in Building/Health/Engineering department.
