Recycle Your E-Waste This Week

Celebrate Earth Day by getting rid of your electronic waste this Thursday in Middletown.

Friday, April 22 is Earth Day and you can do your part by recycling your electronic waste in a responsible way. 

Middlesex Community College and Green Monster Recycling will host the second annual "Computer and Electronics Recycling Event" on Thursday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the lower parking lot at 100 Training Hill Road, Middletown.

Anything with a cord or battery will be accepted, including:

Computers, monitors, terminals, laptops, toner, inkjet cartridges, printers, fax machines, telephones, modems, routers, switches/hubs, cables and wiring, server racks, storage media, batteries, stereos/radios, DVD and CD players, iPods/Walkmen.

TV's will NOT be accepted.

The Durham/Middlefield Transfer Station and the Killingworth Transfer station DO NOT accept e-waste at this time. For more on what IS accepted at the Killingworth Transfer Station be sure to check out Patch on Friday, April 22.
