Poll: Does Parade Candy Ban Leave a Sour Taste?

Candy throwing banned at this year's Memorial Day parade in Durham.

According to a report in the Town Times, there will be no candy throwing from any floats or vehicles during this year's Memorial Day Parade.

The parade is scheduled to step off at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, May 28.

The exact reason for the ban is unclear, but it begs the question: Do you think parade participants should be banned from throwing candy?

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
