Paving Work Begins Today on Route 147

Drivers urged to avoid road during construction.

Starting on Tuesday, September 6 for a period of 3-4 days, (if all goes well) work will begin on grinding the bituminous paving on Route 147 (Baileyville Road) from Guida’s to Main Street. Try to avoid this area.

The actual final layer of paving on 147 will not take place until after the Durham Fair.

Also keep in mind that Route 157 is also scheduled for paving following the work on 147.

If you have any questions please contact me at the Town Hall at 860-349-7114.

Drive slow.

How am I supposed to avoid 147 when I live off of it?! Why are they gonna wait till AFTER the fair to pave one of the busiest roads going there!?!
