Public Works Director Kurt Bober told Patch his department is still working to get caught up on projects that were put off following Tropical Storm Irene and October's nor'easter.

"We've had three different brush pick-ups already in this budget year and after the last two storms it wouldn't be efficient," Bober said.

Bober said by eliminating spring brush pick-up his crews would have time to catch up on other projects that include the town's road preservation program. The department is also in the process of completing a new facility on Cream Pot Road.

"I made a lot of promises to a lot of people," Bober said. "We do keep track of the promises we make but if anyone has something they think is outstanding or dangerous please contact us and then we'll reprioritize."

Residents can bring their brush to the Transfer Station at the intersection of Cherry Hill Road and Route 147. All visitors must have a current DMIAAB sticker, which costs $20 and is good for the year.

Brush brought to the Transfer station must measure no larger than 8’ in length and 4” in diameter.
