It's Straight From the Cow at Deerfield Farm

Durham dairy farm's fresh products include raw milk, yogurt and cheese.

Located on the corner of Parmelee Hill Road and Pent Road in Durham, Deerfield Farm is a dairy farm owned and operated by Melynda Naples.

Naples, 28, sells raw milk and a variety of other products produced by the 40 Jersey Cows that graze the 60 acre property.

Each cow produces about 5 gallons of milk each day, according to Naples.

Farm raised veal is also available at Deerfield Farm, as is beef raised in nearby Wallingford. Eggs, chicken and pork products are also available on a limited basis.

Deerfield Farm is on Facebook and the web. You can buy the farm's products at the farm (honor system), in a limited number of stores, through CT Farm Fresh Express or at the Durham Farmers' Market.

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
