The year was 1970. Thousands of music fans flocked to Middlefield for the Powder Ridge Rock Festival. Thursday

Students at Coginchaug recently finished an , which required them to interview local residents with a connection to one of the conflicts of the last 100 years. 

Voters in Middlefield approved the sale of Powder Ridge last month, but there's quite a bit of work left to be done before the property actually changes hands. On Thursday, the Board of Selectmen held a to discuss several topics, including the transfer of a water diversion permit and a $500,000 grant from the state.

Friday

A group of math students at Haddam-Killingworth had a little more homework this year. The group was recently involved in editing a  used by other high school students.
