Our week in review looks back at some of the stories featured on Patch this week.

Monday

Two men are arrested along after a neighbor calls police to report suspicious activity. The men, police say, were about to burglarize a Durham home and are responsible for breaking into homes in nearby communities. 

Unusually warm weather continued on Monday (Columbus Day) as temperatures hit the mid-80s. A few people were stuck inside, of the nice weather before winter arrives.

Tuesday

Police are investigating in Durham, one on Haddam Quarter Road and another on Goldfinch Road. According to police thieves managed to steal a 55" flat screen television and a computer, among other items. Police also say thieves stole the tires and rims off of a car parked along Main Street.

Connecticut is one of only two states that did not ratify the 18th Amendment (Rhode Island) and Patch contributor Philip Devlin writes that the led to an increase in gang activity and violent crime in the state.

Wednesday

Thursday

The District 13 Board of Education held its and discussed new school standards, enrollment and use of personal technology in the classroom.

Just days after a Massachusetts family called 911 after getting lost in a corn maze, causing a media frenzy, Patch discovered that the company behind the maze at Lyman Orchards. According to our poll, 25 people admitted to getting lost in a corn maze.

Friday
