Free Cookies and Ice Cream for Dogs

Doggy truck delivers free treats to Middlefield canines at the town's dog park from 4-6 p.m.

The Best Friends Pet Care Treat Truck for Dogs is hitting the road with free cookies and ice cream for canines.

The colorful, doggy-logo’d truck will be visiting Middlefield Dog Park on Mattabeseck Road from 4 to 6 p.m., where the staff will be giving away free doggy ice cream treats and cookies for pups and healthy treats for their humans, along with fun items like tennis balls, paw towels and paw-shaped bag clips. 

Best Friends Pet Care offers boarding, grooming, day camp and training at 1511 Silas Deane Highway in Rocky Hill and at 227 Cheshire Road in Bethany.

The company created its Treat Truck for Dogs to give the community a taste of the fun and caring its staff provides to pet guests every day in its pet care centers. 

The Treat Truck has been on the road since last summer and has visited 12 states, traveling as far south as Florida and west to Texas.
