Flamingo Flock on the Move

Durham Library fundraiser nests in Middlefield for a week

Patch joined Flamingo Wrangler Michael Spier, a PALS member and volunteer, as he settled the flock outside the home of longtime Middlefield resident Netta O'Connor Thursday.

O'Connor seemed pleasantly surprised by the arrival of the flamingos, which were sent by the daughter of a late friend.

"We used to wake up early on each other's birthday, and dress up a flamingo and put it in the yard. This is wonderful," O'Connor said.
