Five things to know for Wednesday, September 12, 2012.

1. What's the Weather? Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 80. Tonight: Clear, with a low around 56.

2. Durham Election Audit Results The Secretary of State randomly chooses 10% of all voting districts in Connecticut to audit each election or primary. Connecticut is the only state that conducts an independent audit of its elections and Durham was chosen as part of this process.

The Registrars of Voters have successfully conducted their required audit for the August 14, 2012 U. S. Senate Primary. We are please to announce that the hand count of the ballots for District 2 exactly matched the computer tabulator’s totals from primary night. Thanks to the election workers who came back and hand counted all those votes.
