The Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company will hold its first ever golf tournament at Lyman Orchards Golf Club on Friday, May 17.
The event will be played on the Gary Player Course starting with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. A buffet dinner and awards ceremony will follow at 2:30 p.m.
The cost to enter the tournament is $130/golfer or $500 for a foursome.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for insterested businesses and organizations (See attached registration flyer). Send registration forms to middlefieldfiregolf@gmail.com or contact for additional details
Proceeds from the event will help the fire company purchase much needed equipment and to continue their excellent work serving the community.
Real shotgun start? I suggest a more sporting twist to the game due to Lymans having some outstanding bass ponds; biggest fish landed and released which can reduce your score. I suck at the game but can fish my butt off so I have a shot if my idea passes. I would need about 30 balls due to the Player being used.
Do you still use a worm and a bobber?
Come on Michael, worms sink to the bottom so a float presentation is not very real like now is it. I should have you write a story about my son's sailfish he caught last month!
Back on target I hope this is a success for the fire department.
