1. What's the Weather? Partly sunny, with a high near 16. Wind chill values as low as -7. Northwest wind 9 to 13 mph. Tonight: A slight chance of snow after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 3.

2. BOE Meets Tonight The Board of Education is expected to continue its discussion on safety within the school district, specifically what can be done to secure portable classrooms.

3. Durham Middlefield Exchange Club will hold a new membership dinner at The Cantina in Middletown on Jan. 24. Anyone interested in becoming a member can attend, or call Brenda at 860-301-9912. Members of the Coginchaug Area Transiton group will be the guest speakers for the evening. Meeting and dinner starts at 7 p.m.

4. Spend $25, Get a Free Pie In celebration of National Pie Day today, Lyman Orchards is running a special. From Wednesday through Sunday, spend $25 at the Apple Barrel and you can walk away with a free six-inch pie.
