Daily Five: Local Republicans Back Romney as Likely Nominee Wins CT

Plus, a Gardening 101 workshop is being offered tonight and learn about long-talked about improvements to Killingworth's town hall.

 

1. Weather: What happened to the sun? Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 54, according to the National Weather ServiceExpect isolated showers after 10 a.m. and winds out of the west between 8 and 16 mph. Tonight: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 38.  

2: Romney Wins CT: Republican Presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney won Tuesday's primary in Connecticut, as well as four other states. Locally, winning by a wide margin in Killingworth, Durham and Middlefield. 

3: Town Hall Addition: Killingworth's Town Office Building Committee will hold an informational meeting on May 1, to present the committee's proposal for improvements to Town Hall. The meeting is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Killingworth Elementary School.

4: Gardening 101:  in Killingworth is hosting a gardening workshop where you can learn from an expert about planting, soil conditions and temperature, caring for and transplanting your seedlings. For more details, .

5. How's Your Serve?: Durham Recreation will be sponsoring Adult co-ed Volleyball at Strong School on Monday evenings on April 30, May 7,9,14, 21,28 June 4, 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Bring a ball and friends.
