Daily Five: Presidential Primary Today - Polls Open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Plus, sign up for summer fun in Durham and don't miss the grant deadline.

 

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies, with a high near 59. Breezy, with a south wind between 16 and 22 mph and a slight chance of showers after 2 p.m. Tonight: A slight chance of showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.

2. Presidential Primary: Connecticut Republicans will go to the polls today to vote in the Republican Presidential primary.

The ballot will include:

  • Newt Gingrich
  • Ron Paul
  • Mitt Romney
  • Rick Santorum (Dropped out but remains on ballot)
  • Uncommitted

The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:

Killingworth —

Durham —

Middlefield —

3. Summer Jobs, Summer Fun: It's never too early to start thinking about summer, that's why the town of Durham is now offering information, registration and application forms for all of its summer programs. To get involved or learn more, click here.

4. Grant Deadline: There's a really, really, really fantastic group called the Coginchaug Valley Educational Foundation (CVEF). The group has awarded nearly $30,000 in grant money over the past three years. This year's dealine is May 1. Don't miss a chance to apply!
