2. Happy 99th Birthday To Durham resident Phyllis Rau, who celebrated the milestone with friends at the Durham Activity Center on Wednesday. Phyllis got to cut the cake and enjoyed the company of other birthday celebrants.

3. Cross Walk on Good Friday Parishioners and clergy from the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Notre Dame and St. Coleman Roman Catholic Churches, the Middlefield Federated Church and the United Church of Durham will observe the annual “Way of the Cross” on Good Friday, March 29.

4. Rockfall Resident Earns High Honor Mrs. Katie Tietjen, a teacher at East Hampton Middle School, has been selected as a winner of the Connecticut Association of School Librarians’ Pellerin Classroom Teacher Award. The Pellerin Award is presented to a classroom teacher in Connecticut who “takes necessary steps to establish an instructional partnership with the library media specialist.”

5. Easter Egg Hunt The Durham Recreation Department will hold an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30, starting at 9 a.m, at Allyn Brook Park.
