Daily Five: A Break in the Rain Expected This Afternoon

Plus, Killingworth gears up for a public hearing on next year's budget and a drug suspect heads to court today.

 

1. Weather: Monday morning will be a washout, but that's okay because we need the rain, right? Expect the some sun to break out in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. High near 61. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph. Tonight: A chance of showers, mainly after 4 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 41. Winds steady between 11 and 18 mph. 

2. Budget Hearing: Killingworth's proposed 2012-2013 budget will be presented during a public hearing at Killingworth Middle School. The hearing begins at 8 p.m. The $4.18 million proposal is a  from current spending.

3. Drug Suspect in Court: A man police say had when he was arrested a week ago is due in court today. Matthew Waleski, 24, of 149 Royal Oak Circle faces numerous charges stemming from his arrest last Monday.
