Daily Five: Showers Today, Right to Farm and The Giving Tree

Five things to know for Monday, December 10, 2012.

 

1. What's the Weather? Periods of showers. Patchy fog before 10 a.m. High near 62. Tonight: Showers, mainly before 2 a.m. Low around 41.

2. Right to Farm Ordinance Tonight's Durham Board of Selectmen agenda includes discussion on a proposed Right to Farm Ordinance. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

3. Durham Fair Annual Meeting The annual meeting for members of the Durham Fair Association will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. at Coginchaug High School. 

4. Durham Giving Tree There's still time to participate in this holiday's Giving Tree at Durham Town Hall. Stop by the First Selectman's office during regular hours to pick a gift to donate.

Monetary donations can be made payable to Durham Interchurch Assistance and be either mailed to Town Hall P.O. Box 428 , Durham, CT 06422 or dropped off at the Town Hall from 9-5 Monday through Friday.

This year volunteers will gather at the Durham Activity Center on December 19th to pack basket items. Distribution will be from the Durham Activity Center on Thursday, December 20th.

5. Fire Company Toy Drive Continues The Durham Volunteer Fire Company is collecting new, un-wrapped toys and non-perishable food. Drop offs can be made on Tuesday or Sunday at the Durham firehouse.
