Daily Five: Active Duty U.S. Military Get In Free at Durham Fair

Five things to know for Tuesday, September 18, 2012.

 

1. What's the Weather? Showers and thunderstorms likely. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. High near 76 with wind gusts as high as 36 mph. Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Low around 66 with wind gusts as high as 46 mph.

2. The Durham Fair is FREE for active members of the military. Any uniformed service members will be let through gates for free. Service members not in uniform must provide their military ID but will be allowed in for free.

3. BOS Meeting Canceled Tonight's Middlefield Board of Selectmen meeting has been canceled.

4. Get Acquainted Coginchaug Regional High School is hosting its annual "Get Acquainted Night" tonight. Parents are invited to follow their student's schedule of classes from 6:30 p.m. until 8:40 p.m., and then return to the cafeteria for refreshments and informal talk until 9:00 p.m.
