Daily Five: Mild Weather, Xavier Lands in Title Game Again and Financial Aid Night

1. What's the Weather? Patchy fog before 10 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 58. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 36.

2. Middlefield Boat Explosion According to the Middlefield Fire Marshal, an explosion and fire that destroyed a boat last month at an industrial park is still under investigation.

3. Xavier to Play for 3rd Straight State Title The Falcons, led by quarterback Tim Boyle of Middlefield, beat Glastonbury 30-13 Sunday to advance to the Class LL championship game versus Norwich Free Academy. Date and time TBD.

4. Financial Aid Night on Wednesday The Coginchaug Regional High School Guidance Department has rescheduled their Financial Aid Night to Wednesday, December 5th at 7:00 p.m.  The presentation will take place in the high school auditorium.  Andrea Oden and Tim Higgins from The Financial Aid Consulting Team of Plainville will be presenting.  They will be focusing on planning and paying for college.  Students are encouraged to attend with their parents.  This presentation is open to all families in the community.

5. Wine Sales to Benefit Local Animal Group From Help Willy's Friends Facebook page: A great big thank you to Linda and John Mone of Durham Wine and Spirits for their constant support to Help Willy's Friends.
