Daily Five: Route 147 Bridge Construction Meeting Today

1. What's the Weather? Showers likely, mainly before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. Tonight: A slight chance of showers, otherwise mostly cloudy, with a low around 34.

2. DOT Meeting on Route 147 Bridge Construction Department of Transportation officials will meet this morning in Rocky Hill to discuss the Route 147 bridge reconstruction project in Middlefield.

The project is expected to have a significant impact on traffic in Middlefield and Durham. Check back with Patch for details of the meeting.

3. A Tribute to Newtown Durham Fair contestant Guada Mary Benoit played a piano tribute to the 26 victims of last week's tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Thank you to all who gave toys this holiday season to support local families in Northern Middlesex County. All the toys were delivered to the Salvation Army in Middletown on Monday, December 17th.
