3. Food Donations Needed The Middlefield Food Bank is very low on the following items: soup, canned fruit and baked beans. We kindly ask that you do not donate expired, dented and rusted cans. Recently we have received many items that we end up discarding. These are the only items that we need.

These items can be dropped off at the Social Services office in the Middlefield Community Center, 405 Main Street, during business hours Monday – Friday or left in the box next to the office anytime. If you have any questions please contact Antoinette Astle at 860-349-7121.

4. Powder Puff Game A pre-Thanksgiving tradition at Coginchaug High School, this annual game pits seniors versus juniors in a competition that is anything but "powder puff."

Kickoff is at 1 p.m. at the football field.

5. Pet Photo's with Santa The Durham Animal Response Team (D.A.R.T.) welcomes pet owners to visit Loris Main Street Grooming (behind Brenda's Main Street Feed) on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 10-2 p.m. for an opportunity to take photos of your pet with Santa.
