An important part of the Girl Scout Cookie Program is the Gift of Caring project, Cookies for Heroes. This program provides girls the opportunity to sell cookies that will be sent to service women and men at home and overseas. Last year, Girl Scouts of Connecticut sent 120,000 boxes of cookies to our heroes, and this year the goal is to send even more!

To reach this goal, our 7th grade Cadette Girl Scouts from Haddam and Killingworth will be holding a Fill-A-Truck, event to benefit the Cookies for Heroes Program. The whole community is invited to join the Girl Scouts on Saturday, March 17 at the Killingworth Transfer Station to help fill a military truck with boxes of cookies for our heroes. Cookies are $4.00 per box or $48.00 for a case.
