Bear On The Move in Middlefield, Too

Following reports of bear sightings in Killingworth and Durham this week, a Lake Beseck resident ran into one Friday.

A black bear was spotted today along the western edges of Lake Beseck, according to a resident.

Gil Levesque says he first spotted the bear behind his car late this morning, and became concerned because his dog was outside.

Levesque said he made loud noises to cause the bear to run away, which it did into the nearby woods.
