9/11 Ceremonies Planned for Middlefield and Durham

Both towns will mark the 11th anniversary of the September 11th attacks during events on Tuesday.

 

Middlefield and Durham will each host a rememberance ceremony this Tuesday to mark the 11th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.

The Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company has invited residents to the town's September 11th memorial at the firehouse to remeber all who lost their lives on that day.

The ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m.

In Durham, a ceremony is planned on the town green at 6 p.m., rain or shine.

"I will say that four years ago it rained all day, but at 6 p.m. the sun came out just as we got underway. Hope for sunshine this year as well," said Karen Kean, the event's planner.
