Guest Storyteller at the Durham Public Library

It's not all mulch and sunshine out there.

It's not all mulch and sunshine out there.

When Little Sweet Potato rolls away from his patch, he is forced to search for a new home. He stumbles upon some very mean plants and flowers on his journey and begins to wonder: Is he too lumpy and bumpy to belong anywhere? Will Little Sweet Potato ever find a home that's just right for him?

Local author Amy Bloom will be visiting the Durham Public Library on Tuesday, October 16th at 10:15 a.m. to share her new picture book, Little Sweet Potato. Children aged 2 to 5 and their families are invited to join us to meet the author, listen to the story, and do a fun craft. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

To register, please call (860) 349-9544.

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
