FEEDING THE TINIEST LIVESTOCK

The Durham Fair is excited to pilot a composting program for this year's Fair.  "Feeding the tiniest livestock" helps increase awareness of ecological stewardship and general mindfulness.

The Composting Crew will be collecting from 20 vendors whose cast-offs can be composted thereby reducing some of the trash that our Fair produces.  Our volunteers will be sporting the classic safety vests emblazoned with our happy little worm and participating vendors will be designated with posters so their patrons know they are part of the program.

How can you help?  First you could volunteer to be on the Compost Crew.  Second, you could loan the Clean Energy Task Force a rolling trash can for the weekend (we'll be using liner). Third, you could donate lidded 5 gallon pails.  If interested, please email Susan Michael at smichael4@mac.com or Marilyn Keurajian at thrivinglives@sbcglobal.net
