Large wood L-shaped A/V edit desk, 79"L x 61"W x 30.5"D x 31"H, custom-built

This custom-built workstation is big enough for your most elaborate audio-video editing rigs. It is solidly constructed and rugged enough for you to dance on like the bartenders in "Coyote Ugly"--at one point it housed a 36" TV (135 lbs.) along with a stack of commercial-grade VCRs (24+ lbs. each), a rack full of audio gear, an A/V mixer, multiple monitors, a pair of nearfield monitor speakers, and other associated peripherals. It's strong because it is built strong, of 3/4" cabinet-grade birch plywood with hardwood solids for framing, with 3/4" thick solid hardwood drawer fronts and 3/4" thick rail-and-stile hardwood door; drawer cases are 1/2" plywood. A 3/4" thick backplane supports the weight that is not carried by the two cabinet pedestals, so there's no sagging even if you stack it to the ceiling. The front edge is finished off with hardwood trim, and the sections are fastened with steel brackets. Not one ounce of particle board, MDF, formica, or other such inferior material.

This is large, overall length 79" on the long side, 61" on the short side. The work surface is 30.5" deep, giving you plenty of depth to place full-depth rack cabinets, CRT monitors, speakers, etc, in the back and still be able to put keyboards, mixers, edit controllers, etc. in front of them--and have room for your forearms. Desktop frontage is 48" + 30". Desk has large cable holes drilled in strategic locations to make it easy to connect all your gear.

Storage cabinet is 18" D x 17" W x 28" H, for 4.96 cubic feet of storage for blank media with two adjustable shelves; can also be used to house less-frequently used gear if you add a ventilating fan. Three drawers on cabinet-grade metal slides with nylon rollers, two are 7" D x 13.25" W x 16" L, one is 5" D x 13.25" W x 16" L, totaling another 2.33 cu. ft to store tools and accessories. Diecast-metal handle and knobs; plated steel cabinet-type hinges.

Obviously, the gear shown with it is not included and is shown for demonstration only, and is only a sampling of how much equipment this desk used to hold (but you can make me an offer on the 13" or 20" NTSC monitors).
