This is an exquisite antique refectory table in the Elizabethan style, most likely crafted in the late 1800s utilizing older frieze, legs, stretchers, and support lumber.
The frieze, legs, and stretchers are profusely hand-carved . . . with the bulbous legs beautifully turned and decorated.
The top is a solid wood surround with a fantastic veneer center over a
two-piece solid wood underlay. The veneer appears at least 1/16" thick.
The leaves are solid wood, and appear to be the same wood as the top, but retaining a darker finish.
