Spa, Gas Station Get Thumbs Up From Durham PZC

Commission members approve special permit requests for two Main Street businesses.

 

On August 1, Durham's Planning and Zoning Commission approved two special permit requests for businesses along Main Street.

The commission voted unanimously in favor of  for the reconstruction of 24 Main Street.

The gas station is scheduled to be demolished and rebuilt this fall.

The commission also voted 8-1 in favor of a request by Durham Manufacturing for a special permit for 199 Main Street that will allow for a salon to utilize part of the building.

The business will employ up to six people, but further details are unknown.
